The archive consists of approximately 1,600 music manuscripts and around 6,000 letters. Some of the composers represented with original manuscripts (autographs) in the collections include Mozart, Bach, Schubert, Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, Chopin, Auber, Donizetti, and Gounod.
Furthermore, we have a visual archive and a significant number (777 in total) of rare printed works listed in RISM. Additionally, there are numerous first editions of piano reductions available for researchers.
